Quality Assurance Manager

Essential duties and Responsibilities may include:

 

· Oversight of the Quality Program

· Review existing quality assurance policies update/modify as need.

· Ensure compliance with all FDA and other applicable government statures and regulation

· Implement and ensure quality improvements, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and Food Safety Programs

· Direct the Quality Control Technicians in completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner

· Oversee sanitation department and conduct or make arrangements for sanitation training

· Conduct periodic internal plant inspections

· Conduct and represent the company during 3rd Party Audits approximately 5-10 per year

· Complete Process Filings with the State of California and FDA as needed.

· Travel to Customer Sites 3-8 times a year to participate in product cuttings of all supplier of similar product

· Perform Quality, Safety, GMP and other training for all employees

· Develop new products, often modeled on existing product for customers assure that the products meet food safety and customer requirements.

· Direct special projects such as developing quality procedures for new products and performing product shelf life studies.

· Collect investigate and troubleshoot customer complaints.

· Develop knowledge and expertise in pickles and acidified foods become a resource from others to learn from

· Other duties as required

Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000 Per Year

Day Shift (With some work with Night and Swing Shift), Some Travel
